Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of getting a text on a group chat I have with my best friends, that State Champs were about to release a new record and they’d soon be on the road playing it (the joys of modernity and internet access), but we had no set date.
Considering State Champs to be one of my absolute favorite pop-punk band nowadays, you can guess how excited and happy I was this morning, waking up to go to work, and finding out that not only had the album a release date, but it also came with a single ! And I was STOKED ! It honestly made my day !
Last night, I was browsing twitter as per usual, when I came across multiple videos from Neck Deep’s show in Nottingham Rock City. So I had to give my two cents about it. Sorry #NotSorry
Whatever the security’s reasons were, there’s never a reason to get physical with fans at a punk show, especially when you know there’s bound to be crowdsurfing and it’s bound to get a little rowdy (but all in good fun, no violence).
Neck Deep stoop up for their fans and are now standing as heroes in the pop punk scene (and I’m the fist one to admire how greatly they’ve handled the situation and how fucking amazing it is that bands actually do care that much about fans)
At the beginning of the year, I was minding my own business, when Simple Plan announced a tour in the US and EU which OBVIOUSLY yet again I couldn’t attend *sigh* and because I wanted to hurt myself a little more, I thought “it’d be fun to check out those bands that are playing before them”.
SPOILER: if you didn’t get it from there, that’s how I discovered Seaway.
And if I was internally crying because I couldn’t attend the damn shows, I was even more gutted when I first started listening to Seaway. Why ?
Cause Seaway is A FREAKING GOOD BAND. Continue reading Down on the SEAWAY and taking a little VACATION
4 years is WAYYYYYY too long to wait ! And we’ve waited enough !
PARAMORE. IS. BACK.
And they’re back stronger than ever !
Paramore’s self titled album takes us back to 2013, and a slightly different line-up. But the past is the past, and not only do Paramore welcome former drummer Zac Farro into their ranks, but they also welcome new aesthetics, new sound, catchier than ever, and sounding like summer.
If you didn’t know what to listen to during those long days, spent at the beach or even driving to work dreaming of the beach, that song will take you there !
And they’re back with not JUST a single and a music video. No. That’d be way to simple lol.
They’re back with a full album coming out May 12th on Fueled By Ramen, called AFTER LAUGHTER and a “small tour” in June.
When Paramore comes back, they come back in style ! Please enjoy the music video below and press that replay button as much as I do, cause the song is THAT good and addictive !
