HAPPY PRIDE MONTH ! Update + “Love, Simon” Review

Hi guys !

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but it feels good to be back and feel like I have something to say.

Having moved to the UK from France, I was settling in during a couple months and finally between march and April, I found a job and had to settle there too, which meant, a lot of training and a lot of things to learn. But totally worth it as now I have a day-job I actually really like with really amazing co-workers.

Now I’m back for good, and I hope you’ll all still be expecting my posts (as some are long overdue but didn’t get round to it till recently *coughs SECRETS INTERVIEW, COURAGE MY LOVE, STAND ATLANTIC, LIKE PACIFIC* ).

Onto the main topic for the article !

As some of you may know, it’s Pride month ! So, HAPPY PRIDE EVERYBODY

I love you, I love you, it’s disgusting (Valentine’s Day Realness)

Hi guys !

As you all know, it’s Valentine’s Day ! *runs everywhere*

I have to admit that I’m a sucker for all commercial holidays, mostly because most people criticise them, but in fact, are deep sucker for it once they can celebrate it.
I never wanted to act like the sour guy who’s just jealous ’cause I was alone. And get that: I’m the most romantic person you’ll ever meet ! And I’ve NEVER had a Valentine !
It’s always been a bore, seeing people celebrate it and envy them, or just read people that are in a relationship go “oh but we celebrate the rest of the time, we don’t need just one day to show the other how we love them” or “ugh it’s so commercial”.

Let me tell you something:
– Sure, you don’t need a special day to show your SO that you love them, but Valentine’s Day is the only day where you feel compelled to show it, because then, if you don’t, it means you don’t think or care enough to do something. And it just reminds your other half that they could do better with someone who would care.
– Yes, it’s commercial. Just like Christmas, just like Halloween, just like St Patrick, just like any occasion to celebrate a day or do something that needs shops to put out some decoration or something out. Because then, consumerism and marketing attract you so much that you feel the need to do something.

But celebrating Valentine’s Day doesn’t necessarily mean spending tons of money. It also means, writing a meaningful card to someone you love, or cooking their favorite dinner, or drawing them a bath. Or even putting on their favourite music while they chill and take care of them.

This year, I’m fortunate enough to have. And therefore, cause I’m soppy, I really wanted to share love songs with my person, and be able to share how I felt, cause to me, it’s all about music. I share my feelings through my music and through what I listen and the lyrics which mean so much to me. Whether it’s pop punk, or jazz, or classic, or Disney, every song is an occasion to declare my love to my person.

So here I am, enclosing a playlist which I hope you’ll listen and give a go to, as it’s really just super romantic songs (or close enough) to show someone you love them. Cause I know that if I want to say it to my person, I just play a song, and let my feelings show through it.

I hope you’re spending a good day, whether you’re single, in a relationship, or if you’ve got someone you really care about, family or friend, and tell them how much they mean to you.

HAPPY Valentine’s Day PEOPLE !

Why I think it’s important to talk about The Handmaid’s Tale !

A couple weeks ago, I went on a binge to watch a show that I’d heard of through so many people online, yet never had the time to watch. Now that I’m on holidays, I’ve had time to do so. But had anyone told me how much caught up in this show I’d be and how quickly I’d binge it, then I’d probably have binged it already over a week end.

Cause that’s all it took. A couple days, not much sleep, a little scare and a lot of attention towards a tv show that honestly to me, felt more like a warning/wake up call than a tv show.
